Mike Pollack Signs with the Panthers; Andrew Luck Impresses at Pro Day

While one former Colt signed with another team today, the future face of the franchise had his pro day in advance of April’s NFL draft.

First off, unrestricted free agent offensive guard Mike Pollack signed with Carolina Panthers today.

Pollack was drafted by the Colts in the second round of the 2008 NFL draft.  Pollack has been plagued by injuries and inconsistent play throughout his career.

Pollack would have provided good depth for the offensive line, but lets face it: the Colts have so many holes to fill they can not keep everyone who would provide depth.

Here’s to hoping Pollack stays healthy and performs well with the Panthers.

Meanwhile, today was Stanford’s Pro Day.  So that meant that the next quarterback of the Indianapolis Colts’ was in action.  And Andrew Luck was very impressive, as always.

Luck had 4 passes hit the ground all day, with 3 of them drops.  The weather was not that great, with winds around 15-20 miles per hour and temperatures in the 50s.  Near the end of the workout, Luck launched a pass 65-70 yards downfield.  And arm strength may be the weakest part of his game.

And while everyone is asking who the Colts will take, have you heard anyone who covers the Colts ask that?  No.  We all know that Andrew Luck will go first overall to the Indianapolis Colts.  End of discussion.

And believe me, this guy is someone to get excited about.
