The Decision: Looking at where Peyton Manning may end up if he becomes a free agent… today, we look at the:
Every team in the AFC South has been included in this series. The Titans would love to have Peyton Manning. They have a talented running back in Chris Johnson and a good number two back in Javon Ringer. Nate Washington and Jared Cook are very good pass catchers. Their defense is coming along, but is not great.
The Titans drafted Jake Locker in the early first round last year, and he showed a lot of promise last year in the limited time he got to play. Veteran Matt Hasslebeck got most of the playing time last year, but I expect Locker to be starting next year.
This team is still at least a few years off from the super bowl. For that reason, I do not see Peyton Manning becoming a Titan. And, I do not believe he would purposefully go to the AFC South just for revenge. And even if he did want to stay in the AFC South, Houston would be a much better option.
Chances of landing Manning: 4/10
Chances of playoffs with healthy Manning: 90%
Chances of winning super bowl with healthy Manning: 40%
